An advanced state of preparation

So, I finished the week off without doing so much as a smidgen of painting or papering in the bedroom after all, but it is in what we are pleased to call "an advanced state of preparation". All the holes are patched, the floor is sound, the electrickery is in the right place (yes, I did have to move it), the gap in the skirting is filled with a new piece. And at least I've bought the lining paper so we're ready to go. Roll on the bank holiday!

A man is coming soon to remove the fireplace, brick up the opening and plaster it gloriously flat. And I've yet to design the airing cupboard, let alone build it. Still, what are evenings are for, eh?
